Halloween Happenings

Queen Elizabeth Country Park
Monday 23 October to Friday 27 October 2017
10.00am, 11.00am, 12.00pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm

Come to the Park for an enchanting Halloween experience. Starting with spooky arts and crafts, we will take a tractor ride through the mystical forest, follow pumpkins to the creepy cauldron and finish with a magic show in the theatre. The whole experience lasts approx. 2 hours.
Cost £11.00 per child, booking essential

Haunted Staunton Tour

Staunton Country Park
Friday 27 October 6.30pm or 8.00pm

Why not discover what makes Staunton go bump in the night? Join us for this guided tour, hear some spooky tales and meet some of Staunton's past residents. For children 8-16 years old. This activity is focused around a ghost story, which will take you on a tour on the park and give you a chance to meet some of the resident ghosts and ghouls.

Staunton's Spooky Scarecrows

Staunton Country Park

Have lots of fun at the park with creepy crafts and frightening face painting. Follow our Scarecrow Trail and have a spooky animal encounter.

Children’s Creepy Capers

Join us for a self-guided trail of spooky fun in the Gardens. Crawl through our spider web, find mysterious objects, get muddy, and cast a spell.
Cost: Normal garden admission fees apply. Price for trail: 50p

Potions and Broomsticks

Manor Farm
Saturday 21 October to Sunday 29 October

Join us at the farm this October half-term for a host of spooky activities. Help to make a potion in our witches’ cauldron, test your broomstick flying skills and visit our witches’ wardrobe dressing-up area.  Play some ghoulish games in our activity barn and try out some creepy crafts in the house. Come in your best Halloween costumes and join in the fun.
Cost: Normal farm admission charge

Pumpkin Trail

Royal Victoria Country Park
Saturday 21 October to Sunday 29 October

Visit the shop (between 10am - 3.30pm) to collect a self-guided trail. Follow the route and look out for pumpkins with letters inside. Find all the pumpkins (and letters) to make up a word and return to the shop to claim your prize.

Spooky Autumn Crafts

Hampshire Record Office
Monday 23 October 2pm-4pm

Have a go at making your own animated flip book or a spooky mask.
Cost: There is no set charge for activities, but a small donation for materials would be appreciated. Suitable for ages 4+.

Fairy Door Trail Open Afternoon

Lepe Country Park
Sunday 22 October 1pm-4pm

Join the Lepe team to celebrate the opening of the brand new Fairy Door Trail. Join us in our classroom for story telling, craft activities, and of course our Fairy Door trail. Face painting available for an extra charge. A great day out for the family to explore our Nature Conservation Area.

Autumn Boat Trips – Basingstoke Canal

Monday 23 October to Friday 27 October

Autumn Specials during Half Term. Take a 90 minute trip down Deepcut to the Lock Cottage and back aboard our 12 seater boat 'Rosebud'. Book and pay in advance on 01252 370073 or on the day at Canal Centre reception.

Bush Craft

Lepe Country Park
Tuesday 24 October

10am to 12pm (6-9 years)
1pm to 3pm (10-13 years)

Explore Lepe, investigating wild food, building a shelter and much more. Look for tracks and signs of animals, investigate wild food, build a shelter, make natural cordage and start a fire. BYO Marshmallows.

Apple Day
