This is a free online course using Zoom. Participants will be required to download and use Zoom.

This course is aimed at children aged 4-11 and their grown-ups. Zumba will help develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children's lives by making fitness fun. Each lesson will have new step-by-step choreographies to songs and rhythms from different countries. Classes will incorporate key childhood development elements like confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination and cultural awareness.

  • Improve different elements of your fitness (flexibility, muscular strength, and cardio-vascular fitness)
  • Stimulate the heart rate and breathing rate to increase in a way that can be sustained for the exercise session
  • Identify how regular fitness can help prevent illness and promote physical and emotional health

Who is this course for? Children aged 4-11 and their grown ups who would like to try Zumba in order to be more active and flexible as well as having fun whilst exercising together

Previous knowledge/experience: No previous knowledge or experience is required.

What do I need to bring: You will need to wear suitable, loose clothing and have a bottle of water to hand.  All learners must complete a health checklist form prior to starting the course.  This will be completed during your 1-1 session with your tutor. You will need to have a safe, trip free space to Zumba in!

Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners. Please advise the venue/tutor of any absence you may have.
