Ukulele for Beginners at Havant Library - Mondays 23rd January to 27th March 2017

The lessons take place in a friendly group atmosphere. This course will introduce beginners to basic strumming and chord fingering and will teach songs from session one. Because the ukulele is mainly used for accompaniment to voice, it would be helpful if participants are prepared to sing along to the tunes as they are learning them.

For those who have completed the beginners course - or are at a similar stage in their learning - this will enable you to enjoy playing a more challenging range of songs and tunes on the ukulele. Participants will learn more about chords and strumming - including chord theory and fingerpicking - and how these can be used to play a greater range of songs and tunes.
