  • Identify situations and factors that may make an adult vulnerable or at risk and link this to how to prevent abuse
  • Describe the nature of abuse and the signs and indicators
  • Recognise your responsibility to report any concerns of abuse you have for adults and children
  • Identify the 5 basic principles of the Mental Capacity Act and how to apply them in your day-to-day role

Participants should attend a Safeguarding refresher every 2 years.

Very good and interactive. A clear link for the 5 Rs throughout the course. Various activities helped to keep concentration and to intake the information

Excellent informative training updating staff on the Care Act, MCA, MSP and relating it to policies, procedures and job role and joining it up with CQC standards, what they might ask and simplifying it. Brilliant, thank you
