About adoption

We are looking for adopters from a wide range of backgrounds. Our children are all individuals and all need different types of families.

Fostering for Adoption

Fostering for Adoption places children with approved adopters who are also agreed foster carers.

This approach is to help minimise the number of placement moves for a child by placing them at an earlier stage with carers who could go on to be their adoptive parents.

These type of placements will only be made when there is a strong indication that the child is unlikely to return home to birth parents or be cared for by other family members.

The placement will remain a fostering placement until the courts have decided what is in the best interest of the child. If the court agrees the child should be adopted, the placement will then go on to be become an adoptive placement.
