Community grants

These grants are specifically intended to help people, especially families with children, to access necessities like food and fuel

We encourage community and charity organisations who are able to support families and individuals facing hardship because of coronavirus to apply for a grant.

This funding will supplement or expand services within the community that meet the Department for Work and Pensions criteria:

  • at least 80% of the total funding will be ring-fenced to support families with children, with up to 20% of the total funding allocated for other types of households, including individuals
  • at least 80% of the total funding will be ring-fenced to provide support with food, energy and water bills (including sewerage), with up to 20% made available for other essential items

These grants will enable a flexible and responsive approach to meeting local need, particularly in rural areas, as and when they are identified.

Organisations can apply for grants by completing an application form for your area (Hampshire or Isle of Wight). Before you apply, read the grant guidance which has full details, including eligibility and criteria.
