Final Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
The final EHCP means the child is legally entitled to the provision set out in that plan. It must be issued within a maximum of 20 weeks from the request for an EHC assessment. If the we are unable to achieve that, we will explain why.
The final EHCP will name the education setting o type of education setting the child or young person will attend. If a setting is named in an EHCP, it must admit the child or young person and put the provision in the EHCP into place. This will happen even if the setting felt that the child or young person should not be placed with them.
