How STAs support AAC
- Joint visits with NHS Speech and Language Therapist are arranged
- Training is provided on the use of software to support AAC
- Advice is provided on the implementation of AAC in the classroom
Support with editing a communication book through the use of software.
Facilitating AAC in the classroom environment.
Training on electronic devices as appropriate.

Next steps
After the initial visit the Assistive Technology team will visit to work with your child and school staff alongside the Speech and Language Therapist. The frequency of our visits will depend on the needs of your child. Most children are seen once or twice a term.
