Support for the school

We support the school and staff to ensure the best outcomes for your child. We do this by:

• advising the school on physical adaptations to the environment and school buildings to meet the needs of the child or young person
• representing the needs of children and young people to officers in the Local Authority
• providing advice and guidance on the teaching and support practices of staff
• observing children and young people within their settings and providing feedback for staff
• attending annual reviews where appropriate
• providing training to staff on physical disabilities, medical conditions, software and hardware, - delivered in the educational setting or offered county wide and held in our offices
• providing training for school staff to raise their awareness of specific conditions or general inclusion of a child with a physical disability
