As a nation, we find ourselves plunged into an unprecedented situation. However, we are living in a time when we have the greatest opportunity to make the most of all the communications technology to keep in touch throughout the current crisis.
Adopt South are dedicated to supporting your adoption journey
We are open
We are trialling and testing different communication tools and finding ways to manage information remotely and securely, so that you can continue to access learning and advice, as we support you through the adoption process.
We can talk to you
You can call, email and direct message us. Our adoption enquiry team can help you with discovery and the sharing of insights about adoption. And when you are ready to share with us, we can begin to learn about your desire to give a child or children a forever family.
Adoption has changed so much in the last few years; a forever family can happen in six months.
The disruption to our lives from COVID-19 has resulted in us making our service even more agile, offering new ways to support you and perhaps with more flexibility to be able to respond more efficiently to your needs.
Your adoption journey will continue
For those of you already in Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the adoption process, we are creating online resources and FaceTime conversations, as well as processing information in different formats securely and on time. Our Social Workers are working tirelessly to ensure that all our applicants are continuing with their development pathway.
I really hope that if you have been thinking about adoption, you will contact us. Our adopters are single, LGBT+, in a relationship and they are all ages. There is a lot of help out there, including Government support through Universal Credit, Child Benefit and free childcare.
All sections of our society can adopt
We need special people like you to love and care for children to help them flourish and grow as part a family that can give them all the love, attention and stability they need.
In this time of uncertainty, I trust you and your loved ones will remain safe and well, within your homes, and hope that in the not too distant future, we will be able to return to what we have come to know as our normal lives.
