School admissions

The School Admissions Team are working remotely to continue to deliver its service and provide support to both schools and parents during the national response to the Covid-19 outbreak. However, please note that response times may take longer than usual.

Starting school and infant to junior transfer

All parents in Hampshire, who applied on time for a school place for their children starting school in September 2020, have been sent the outcome of their application by Hampshire County Council on national offer day - 16 April 2020. Please read our guidance for full details about the process.

Transfer to secondary school

We will continue to process late applications, make changes to existing applications and make offers from waiting lists.

In-year applications

In-year applications will continue to be processed but please note that it may take longer than 10 school days to receive a response. Where places are available, they will still be offered but as it is not yet known when schools will re-open for all pupils, schools will be unable to arrange a start date for your child (with the exception of the most vulnerable and children of key workers who are unable to keep their child safe at home who will be admitted). Schools will instead provide you with details on how to access their home learning package.

Contacting the Admissions Team

You can find further information and guidance on all of the above on our School admissions website.

However, should you need to contact us, please email and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Unfortunately we are unable to offer a telephone service at this time.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times.
