RSE Training - Girl Talk, Boy Talk

This is a one day face-to-face course designed to provide opportunities to focus on specific areas within RSE, along with the tools to deliver a five week RSE programme to groups of young people.   

Course pre-requisites

  • RSE 1 - Talking about Relationships and Sex with Young People (formally SRE 1) or equivalent training
  • RSE 2 – Talking about Relationships and Sex with Young People & Get It On Condom Distribution (formally SRE 2) or equivalent training
  • Or professional qualifications in a related field i.e. school nurses, sexual health staff, PSHE teachers

Learning outcomes

Participants will learn:

  • Identify how to run a five week, single sex RSE course, with a colleague, within a young person based setting
  • Explore a variety of activities that can be used whilst delivering the programme
  • Explain the importance of evaluation and measuring impact as a result of the course
  • Identify the policies and procedures to be put into place to run a five week RSE programme

  • Confidence in delivering a targeted programme of RSE
  • Commitment to continue to deliver this work
