Nutrition and hydration

CQC describe ‘Good’ nutrition and hydration as key to health, recovery and wellbeing. They say that services should ensure food, nutrition and hydration training is provided to all staff (including volunteers) involved in the preparation or distribution of food and drink.

Our courses aim to empower staff confidence in communicating the benefits of a healthy diet to those they support, ensuring person centred practice is at the centre of the care delivered.

The courses explore food preparation, presentation and IDDSI levels to meet individual dietary needs alongside cultural requirements and associated health conditions such as UTIs and Dysphagia and consent and best interest decisions.

We have the following course available.
