Augmentative and Alternative Communication referrals

Referrals to the Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) come direct from Physical Disability team or from an NHS Speech and Language Therapist.

Our criteria

  • Your child must need to use AAC strategies to augment or as an alternative to speech
  • The need for AAC is determined by your child's assigned NHS Speech and Language Therapist
  • Your child attends a mainstream educational setting in Hampshire

We don't:

support children attending special schools, except when transitioning to or from a mainstream school.
