The Vice Lord-Lieutenant and Deputy Lieutenants
Supporting and promoting the Lieutenancy in Hampshire
There is one Vice Lord-Lieutenant and a number of Deputy Lieutenants who represent the Lord-Lieutenant in performing a range of public duties.
The Lord-Lieutenant appoints the Deputies and in doing so recognises their contribution to local, county or national life.
Deputies do not receive remuneration for undertaking duties on behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant and their service to the county is entirely voluntary.
