Pedalos, canoes, sit on top kayaks and rowing boats available for hire at weekends from Easter to the end of September.
Also open daily during the Easter, Spring Half Term and Summer school holidays.

Covid 19 Safety
All boats available for hire have a time allocated slot which should preferably be booked and paid for in advance.
All of our buoyancy aids, paddles and oars are disinfected at the start of each day and in between each hire. Key touch points on boats are also cleaned between hires.
We have a queuing system in place to ensure that 2 metres distance is maintained while you wait for your boat and are allocated your equipment.
Please note that you must be able to get in and out of the boat without any assistance from a member of staff.
You may only share a boat with someone from your own household or bubble (see government guidance on bubbles)
How to book
Boats can be booked in advance over the phone on 01252 370073, or at Reception. We do advise that you book in advance to save disappointment.
If you’ve booked in advance, all you have to do then is turn up 10 minutes before your hire is due to start and wait at the designated waiting point issued to you at the time of the booking.
If you are booking from reception, simply report to reception where a member of staff will check availability of the boats for you and then get you booked in and give you waiting instructions.
Please note that the hire of a boat is non refundable unless the Canal Authority have had to cancel in which case a full refund will be offered.
Pedalos - £9 per half hour
Rowing boats - £15 for 1 hour £18 for 1 ½ hours
Canoes - £12.50 for 1 hour £15 for 1 ½ hours
Double Kayak - £13 for 1 hour £16 for 1 ½ hours
Single Kayaks - £13 for 1 ½ hours

Rosebud boat trips and charter hire - Mytchett - Closed for this season
Boat trips on board our friendly 12-seater boat ‘Rosebud’ run at weekends and on public holidays from Easter to September plus Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays during Easter, Spring Half Term and Summer school holidays.
Times of the trips: 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3pm.
These 55-minute long boat trips leave from the Canal Centre in Mytchett and go to Greatbottom Flash and back.
Prices: £6.50 per adult, £4 per child (ages one to 12), family £19 (two adults, two children)

Cream Tea Cruises
Cream tea cruise specials run on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from the end of May to September.
Tuesday: Departure time: 2 pm for a 90 minute round trip to Greatbottom Flash. Tea served on board at anchor.
Price: £11.50 per person.
Thursday: Departure time 1.45pm for a two and a half hour round trip to Deepcut. Tea served on picnic tables on the lock lawn.
Price: £14 per person.
Advance booking essential. Minimum of six for the trip to run. Maximum number 10.
Spring and Autumn Specials
Special Mother’s Day, Easter Hot Cross Bun and Autumn Colour trips are also planned.

Looking to do something different for a special event like a birthday or anniversary - why not hire our 12-seater narrowboat Rosebud? Each trip will have a qualified skipper and crew member on board. Charters available on non public trips days only.
Trips depart from and return to the Canal Centre in Mytchett any time between 10 am and 8 pm (latest return time).
Day hire rate - £60 for first hour, £50 each additional hour.
Evening rate (5pm onwards) - £80 for first hour, £60 each additional hour.
All trips are subject to the availability of the boat, skipper and crew member.

Basingstoke Canal Society 12 seater boat offering 75 minute trips from the Town Wharf in Woking on Wednesdays and weekends from Easter to the end of September. This boat has a hydraulic lift and ramp and can accommodate up to two unpowered wheelchair users per trip.

Offer a day hire boat “Dawn” which takes 12 passengers (space for six wheelchair users). There is also a seven berth luxury holiday boat “Madam Butterfly” specially designed for disabled use. Both boats operate from Odiham. Occasional public boat trips during the summer.
