The Royal Victoria Hospital provided surgery and care to the sick and wounded soldiers from after the Crimean War to WW2. The iconic building finally closed in the 1970s.
The CWGC cemetery commemorates 750 WW1 and WW2 casualties from across the Commonwealth who were treated at the hospital. The tour will include the walk from the Country Park Café to the cemetery which is situated in the beautiful woodland close to the Solent shores.
Parking is available on-site and nearby but please note that charges apply; on-site facilities and toilets; uneven ground; hilly and slopes, therefore we regret this site is not suitable for those with limited mobility, including wheelchairs and scooters.
Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
