Inset day activities

Wondering how to spend your child's inset day? Come to the Royal Victoria Chapel at Netley for a mini-mystery storytelling session and craft activity, climb the Tower and ring the bell!

£5 per child. Sessions at 10am - 12 noon or 1pm - 3pm each day.

Enjoy our mini-mystery story about the Bats in the Belfry. Help Pip and Estelle solve the clues in the hospital sounds and smells and find out about the people who worked and were treated at Netley. Dress up in costume, role-play the different jobs and make your own bat puppet to take away. Enjoy a cold drink and biscuit, then climb the tower with one of our guides to enjoy the views and ring the bell! Normal car parking charges apply.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. One adult is admitted free with each child. Additional adults £3.50. Under 5s are welcome, but ages 3+ require a booked place and must be able to manage the 109 Tower steps safely without being carried. Babies may be carried in a sling or carrier.
