Enjoy a range of nurturing activities with plenty of opportunity to just relax and build connections with nature. Enjoy a nourishing lunch and nutritious snacks throughout the day.
What can I expect?
The Woodland Wellbeing Nature.Nurture.Nourish Day Retreat will normally last for around six hours. They take place in the natural beauty of Staunton Country Park. You will be welcomed by Kate, and get to meet the rest of the group before heading into the woods for the first session of the day. Sessions naturally merge into one another guided by the ebb and flow of the day.
Kate is a Shirin Yoko Practitioner, Mindful Nutrition Advocate, Qualified Chef with Level 3 Food Safety and Allergen Management, Outdoor First Aid Qualified and MHFAider.
Experiences on the day may include:
- Forest Bathing
- Nature based crafts
- Mindful Nutrition
- Gratitude Journaling
- Learning the folklore and medicinal use of certain trees at our sites
- Rest, relaxation and reflection
What you need to know:
- You will be contacted before the event to confirm where to meet
- You may want to bring a small backpack containing a water bottle, extra layer, waterproof or sun cream and hat on warmer days
- We recommend wearing long trousers and walking shoes or boots but strong trainers or wellies will do for most of the trails we will use
- We may spend some of the day sitting on the floor. If you prefer you may wish to bring a folding camp style chair
- There are limited spaces so please make sure to book
