Group visits

We can cater for large or small groups wanting to visit for a peaceful day out or to learn more about the natural history of the site. The varied habitats and abundant wildlife can be used for teaching a host of subjects while providing children with a multi-sensory experience beyond the curriculum.

Expert guides are available for bird identification but also for other wildlife and plants, as well as local history and archaeology.

Youth groups, like Brownies and Scouts, are welcome to come on a self-led visit during our opening times.

Planning your visit

Our education pack will help you prepare for your self guided visit. It contains details on the domestic arrangements; arrival and departure, location of toilets, picnic areas as well as background information on the Park.

Contact us to arrange a visit to ensure the Reserve will not be too busy.
