The Flower Fairies Summer Garden Trail

Sir Harold Hillier Arboretum and Gardens
19 July to 3 September

There are some new visitors making the gardens their home this summer, we can't wait for you to come and see them!

From July to September, you can come along and take part in our interactive Flower Fairies trail for £5 (excluding admission to the gardens). If you look very hard, you might even find the magical fairy grotto.

Just visit Sir Harold Hillier Gardens this summer to buy your special fairy finding passport. Every trail pass purchased comes with your very own pair of fairy wings!

Inspired by Cicely Mary Barker's classic illustrations, the trail is a must visit for fairy lovers of all ages.

Botanical magic

What could be more fun than slipping on a pair of fairy wings and exploring Hillier's 180 acres? Twelve fairies are featured around the gardens with children's activities and a fairy grotto - plus there are special stamps to collect in a fairy passport.

Cicely's accurate illustrations are a perfect fit for the gardens which are well-known as a centre for excellence in horticulture and conservation.

Fairies involved in the trail include the Honeysuckle Fairy, the Poppy Fairy, the Harebell Fairy and the Foxglove Fairy.

The gardens are open from 10am to 6pm, last entry is at 5pm. Information about visiting us, including admission prices, is on our website: or call 01794 369318.
