Accessibility

Castle Avenue leading to The Great Hall has some cobbled, uneven surfaces.

A low ramp is in place for access to the Great Hall and Queen Eleanor's Garden and seating is available in the Hall and garden.

A gift shop, gallery and accessible toilet, with a baby changing unit, are available on site, reached by a stone staircase.

A lift to these areas is available for wheelchair users. See a member of staff on arrival, or ring the bell on the display board near the stone steps for assistance.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome. Limited parking for Blue Badge holders along Castle Avenue can be requested by prior arrangement. Phone 01962 846476.

Guided tours

Our daily guided tours are free to join and run at 11am and 3pm (subject to staff availability). Please contact us prior to your visit to ensure availability of our knowledgeable and friendly guides.

Entrance charges for groups of more than 10 people

The charge for adults in a group is £3.50 per adult and £2.50 per child (5 to 16 years). Groups not booked in advance cannot be guaranteed entry.
