We are delighted to say that we have been awarded a grant to support eligible schools to visit the Gardens by coach in September and October 2024.

We can support up to 8 classes with a bursary of £125 each. To qualify, schools must book and confirm their visit by the 1 July 2024 and be within the 3 miles of the following postcodes:

  • Eastleigh (SO50 4HP or SO50 5PN)
  • Bishopstoke (SO50 6LA)
  • Fair Oak (SO50 7HD)
  • Valley Park (SO53 4ST)
  • Chandler’s Ford (SO53 5RD)

Whether or not your school qualifies for the bursary, schools can choose a range of guided programmes and topics from Habitats, Art, Seasons, Adaptations, or Soils and Recycling. We will make it relevant to the curriculum and the students, with lasting benefits.

This grant from Tesco, in partnership with Groundwork UK, is part of a £5 million grant programme to boost funds for extra food and activities to give children across the UK a stronger start in life. It is available to community groups and charities looking to fund local projects that bring benefits to communities. To find out more visit the Tesco Stronger Starts website.
