An exhibition by artists selected for the CAS Emerging Sculptors Development Award.
Chapel Arts Studios (CAS) and Sir Harold Hillier Gardens are pleased to be exhibiting the work of eight sculptors who were selected for the CAS Emerging Sculptor Development Award programme. This inaugural project has been funded by Friends of the Garden* with support from Roche Court Educational Trust and Sir Harold Hillier Gardens. The project aims to support the development of sculptors establishing their careers. The recipients of the 2023/4 award are from the across the South of England : Sandra Camargo , Harry Chadwick, Alice Sheppard Fidler, Beatrice Galletley, Srabani Ghosh, Olana Light, Tony Spencer, and Nicola Turner.
The exhibition will showcase the sculptor’s professional development, practice, individuality, and collaborative approaches to outdoor work.
ESDA artist mentor and Fellow of the Royal Society of Sculptors Rebecca Newnham, will also be exhibiting with the group. Rebecca first exhibited at the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in 2008 following a residency with us.
All sculptures will be for sale.
* The Friends of the Garden is a voluntary organisation which has run several exhibitions in gardens in Wiltshire. This course is funded by part of the legacy from the 2020 exhibition.
