Saturday 17 May
We welcome you to experience this annual celebration with traditional Nepalese music, dancing and a short remembrance service at the Chautara with the laying of wreaths.
Since 1998, this event has been timed to showcase Nepal’s national flower, the rhododendron, at its best. Visit the beautiful Himalayan Valley within the Gardens to explore the Nepalese Garden, home to one of the very few the Chautaras left in the world.
This four-walled, roofless structure replicates a traditional resting place for travellers, especially porters on mountain trails carrying goods in their typical conical wicker baskets (dhoka). Learn more and join us for this celebration!
