An in-depth look into the herbarium, what it is and how it works. Learn about herbariums from around the world, the plant hunters of the past and how specimens are collected in the wild. Modern technology is making it easier to use the information gathered with the introduction of the virtual herbarium. Includes a demonstration of how to set and preserve a specimen.
Coffee at 11am, followed by lecture with our botanist Barry Clarke and a two-course lunch served in Jermyn’s House set in the heart of the Gardens.
