Sir Harold Hillier Gardens continues to showcase exciting new sculptures for Art in the Garden's 18th year. The sculptures are made from various mediums including glass, ceramic, marble, copper and recycled materials. Monumental sculptures are attractively presented in the beautiful setting of this world famous 180 acre Garden. Featuring award winning, local, new and established British sculptors and artists from overseas.
This year we have a giant Walking Ammonite by local Isle of Wight artist, Glenn Martin. Glenn makes sculptures that are inspired by nature, creating his organic forms from recycled materials. The sculpture creates a striking outline across the Winter Garden and will delight and intrigue children and adults alike.
Stan Jankowski is exhibiting with us again and has proved to be one of our best selling artists with his exquisitely crafted wind mobiles. The copper disks appear to move effortlessly and silently in the wind creating a dialogue with the viewer prompting curiosity about how the sculpture works.
The ceramic artist, Renee Kilburn, has created some vibrant urns and wall flowers. Their colours and shapes are full of imagination and playfulness and will brighten up any garden.
Wildlife sculptor Sophie Louise White has created an exquisite Heron. She captures the intrinsic essence of her subject and has created a harmonious balance of movement, elegance and poise.
Art in the Garden continues to extend its range and diversity with pieces suitable for every size of garden. We are delighted to welcome so many talented and diverse artists.
