Watersports fun
Watersports are a great way explore the Solent. We have a variety of experiences available to book now at Calshot so you can enjoy the water in whichever way you prefer.
Enjoy our paddlesports experiences with kayaks and stand up paddleboards available to hire. Our kayak experiences use double kayaks so children as young as five can join in with an adult. We also have wetsuits available to hire if you don’t have your own.

If you’re new to the sport then one of our experiences is the perfect way for beginners to get involved. You’ll be familiarised with the equipment and learn the basic skills to get up and running on the water in no time.

Action adventure holidays
Available in July and August, your child can enjoy a whole week of exciting activities with us. Across the week there will be opportunities to enjoy climbing, skiing, sailing, kayaking, ringos, archery, Aero Trek and track cycling in the velodrome.
Delicious home-cooked meals are provided each day and you can choose for your child to stay for the week in one of our accommodation blocks on the stunning Calshot Spit. Non-residential options are also available.

Built in the 1500s, Calshot Castle was built to protect the south coast from potential invasion from French or Spanish forces. It has also served as a training facility for the RAF. It is now open daily for you to explore and discover.
Climb to the top of the ancient fort and marvel at the breathtaking sweeping views of the Solent. There are also events running for children across the summer including a trail, crafts and historical costumes for dressing up.

Break up a long holiday with an adventurous day at Calshot. Available throughout the summer holidays, action adventure days include include climbing, skiing, archery and more and each day has a unique combination of activities so no two days are ever the same.
You can choose between a half-day or full day of activities and all essential equipment is provided. Just remember to bring a packed lunch and water and we take care of the rest.
