Climbing Clubs/NICAS Climbing Award

NICAS Climbing Award

A six week course designed to enable participants to climb and belay at an appropriate level whilst aiming to work towards the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS). Participants will hopefully gain NICAS Level One which is a recognised award at all indoor climbing centres. Participants will work at their own pace and if they have not completed it by the end of the course there will an opportunity to book onto the next available course to complete the level. Due to the nature of the course there may be less time to climb due to other technical and safety aspects that need to be covered as part of the syllabus.

Please note that children will need to be at least 8 years old to participate in either course.

Climbing Club

A six week club aimed at those participants that wish to come along and climb for fun; with a view to building on experience and confidence. This course will focus more on just climbing. At a later stage there will be an opportunity to join the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS) Climbing Club, which is detailed above.

Cost of six week course: £8.00 per week. If you wish to participate in the NICAS course, there will be an additional charge of £5.00 for the purchase of a Log Book.

Please be advised that no courses will run from January until February 2017, due to the weather at this time of year. We will update our website in the New Year to advise of any courses that will run from February onwards.
