We welcome uniform groups who’re looking for an adventure fix and a good dose of nature. With our fantastic indoor and outdoor facilities, we’re suitable year-round for all ages.

Summer camps 2020 packages

*Self-led activities include: Orienteering, Team Tasks, Rushing Rockets and Egg Drop. An activity pack is provided with instructions and equipment for each session.

All packages are self-catering. 1 member of staff per 10 young people is included in the above prices – any extra staff will be charged additionally for their accommodation.

Try out our New Camping Pods for an additional £5 per young person per night stayed.

Accommodation

If you want an indoor venue, look no further than Forge Lodge. With exclusive hire of the whole building, you will have beds for 71 people, a large kitchen and a spacious hall to relax in.

For something a little different – give our 10 Camping Pods a visit. Each pod sleeps 4 people, has underfloor heating, electrical charging points and is conveniently located near to the camping services with cubicled toilets/showers and a washing up area.

If you’ve got your own camping kit – come enjoy our quiet woodland site. Following the camping path through the site you will have a selection of camping pitches on either side, each of which is surrounded by pine trees – providing groups with a sheltered area and a degree of privacy. Located at the end of the path is our camping services with cubicled toilets/showers and a washing up area.

Activities

Climbing, Archery, Caving, High Ropes, Canoeing, Raft Building… these are just a few of our activities. Without leaving the comfort of our site, groups can take part in all kinds of adventurous land-based activities. For water-sports, we have Basingstoke Canal on our doorstep – allowing us unrivalled access to a sheltered water venue perfect for canoeing, kayaking and raft building. These activities can either be led by our experienced instructors or by your suitably qualified staff – just let us know which activities you are interested in when you get in touch.

Scout shop

Close links with Blackwater Valley Scouts means there is a volunteer-manned Scout shop on site, open from 7pm to 9pm on Thursdays and 10am to 1pm on Saturdays. More details can be found on the Blackwater Valley Scout website.

We are able to run bespoke leader training for Scout and Guide leaders.
