BTEC Outdoor Adventure Public Services – Further and higher education programme

Based at the Hampshire and Cass Foundation Mountain Centre near Brecon in South Wales, your students will develop the skills, knowledge and understanding in a range of adventurous activities including rock climbing, caving, canoeing, mountain walking and gorge walking. In line with the Unit 10 specification, students will learn to manage the risks and review their own performance. This course is designed to  meet the requirements of the BTEC Level 3 qualification.

The Unit 9 module is delivered in the mountains of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. Students will plan, undertake and review an overnight expedition in a wild and remote mountain environment, testing their navigation, camp craft and personal resilience.
