Most of our centres offer an extensive range of adaptive equipment and accommodation to ensure maximum opportunity for inclusive participation. Staff are trained and experienced to enable individuals to fully enjoy the variety of activities suited to their particular abilities. From a fully wheelchair accessible boat at Calshot (also used for trawling by field studies groups), to climbing hoists, modified target sports equipment and adaptive bikes, the only limits are the individuals’ willingness to throw themselves into the spirit of the adventure! The secret to successful residential experiences for groups with special needs is, as for any other type of visit, careful planning and close communication with teachers, parents and the Centre staff, where activity level and type can be matched to the group. A full week of mixed land and water activities is a very powerful and rewarding part of the school curriculum. Please enquire with each centre directly to learn more about the facilities available for your group.
