Argoed Lwyd Outdoor Education Centre

Set within the beautiful Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons) in South Wales, our centre offers a unique experience for pupils to enjoy a diverse landscape and engage with the outdoors.

The site delivers a range of challenging half day and day-long activities that promote personal growth and connection with the natural environment.

Staying with us

    Our traditional Welsh farmhouse accommodation has several bunkhouse rooms, a comfy lounge area and a dining space. Each accommodation block also has a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, along with a beautiful decking/patio space and gardens – great for outdoor dining!

The farmhouse has capacity for 49 people indoors. There is also outdoor camping space for up to 20 people. Facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, drying room, large classrooms, communal lounge and wood burning stoves.

Try our ‘INSIDE-OUT’ accommodation offering

Enjoy the cosy comfort of our traditional Welsh farmhouse and camp under the star-studded sky.

For groups of up to 60. Whilst half your group will be in bunk rooms in the farmhouse, the other half will stay in pre-pitched tents that sleep up to five.

Accommodation can be swapped over part way through the week, so each child gets the opportunity to camp!

    Fuel for adventure - both self-catered and fully catered options are available.

Our centres offer healthy and nutritious catering packages that can accommodate all dietary requirements. 

We take pride in using suppliers who source locally produced food and daily hand-cooked meals that ensure all meals are fresh and tasty.

Young person support fund

Hampshire Outdoor Centres are pleased to offer a support fund which can provide financial assistance to young persons who would like to visit to one of our Hampshire Outdoor Centres.
