Windows

The chapel windows were very badly damaged and generally in a poor state of repair. The conservation works have seen substantial amounts of glazing replaced, but the original glass was retained where possible and the window frames repaired and redecorated.

The replacement glazing was hand made to match as closely to the original as possible, using a number of processes including acid etching and painting and staining using glass pigments and stains that were then fired for permanency.
