Changes to bus services

From 6 April 2020

Revised timetables can be viewed on the Traveline South West website.

Concessionary Fare Passes can now be used before 9.30am all day Monday to Friday in addition to weekends

Basingstoke Community Transport

  • Route 56 - reduced to Friday only
  • Service 55 Old Basing – Chineham Tesco – Basingstoke Town Centre, Monday to Friday. Only the 09.30 Old Basing to Basingstoke to Town Centre and 11.10 Basingstoke Town Centre to Old Basing journeys will operate
  • Routes 57 and 58 – suspended
  • Service 59 Overton – Whitchurch – Litchfield, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Service will continue to operate Monday, Wednesday and Friday but only Overton to Whitchurch to current timetable with Litchfield loop suspended

Cresta Coaches

From Wednesday 8 April service C41 New Alresford to Basingstoke will be revised with one journey in each direction (and a return from New Alresford as far as Axford on demand), on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Damory Coaches

  • New service 49 from Damerham to Salisbury will operate on Tuesdays only

Bluestar

  • Most routes, including Bluestar 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 16 & 17 and 18 will operate a Sunday level of service with additional commuter trips in the am and pm peak. However, there will be some time differences to a normal Sunday so you should check the actual timetables first
  • Other Bluestar routes (Bluestar 3, 5, 35, 36, 39, H1, H2, T3, T4, X7 & Quay Connect) will operate an ordinary school holiday Monday to Friday service
  • Bluestar 6 – revised Monday to Saturday timetable to every 2 hours with Sundays withdrawn
  • Bluestar 19 withdrawn completely

Over the Easter period (Good Friday. Easter Sunday and Easter Monday) - Sunday service will operate

First Buses

First Solent services:-

  • Services 1, E1/E2, X4, X5, 8, and 9/9A will run a Sunday level of service throughout the whole week with extra morning journeys
  • Service 2 – reduced frequency to every 20 minutes, but with additional journeys to QA hospital in the morning
  • Services 3 and 13/14 will run a Sunday level of service throughout the whole week
  • Service 7 - now operating every 20 minutes, with most journeys starting/finishing at Portsmouth City Centre
  • Services 17/18 – reduced running time
  • Service 22 - reduced to run a limited service on Mondays to Saturdays only
  • Services D1/D2 - re-instated to run a limited service on Mondays to Saturdays
  • All other services are temporarily withdrawn

Changes to Solent services from 12 April:-

  • 1/3/X5/9/9A – revised service
  • E1/E2 – service to be reduced to run at a 15 minute frequency
  • F1/F2/10/21 – limited service reinstated on Mondays to Saturdays
  • X4 – a revised service running between Southampton, Fareham and Portsmouth/The Hard
  • 11 – A limited service will run between Gosport Bus Station and Alverstoke only
  • 20 – A limited service will run between Fareham and Knowle Village only running Mondays to Saturdays
  • 27 – The normal Monday-Friday service will be reinstated. No service on Saturdays

First Southampton services:-

  • Service 1 - revised to operate every 30 minutes with an additional journey at 1825 from the City Centre
  • Service 2, 3 and 11 - revised to operate every 20 minutes
  • Services 6 and 8 will run a Sunday level of service throughout the whole week with extra morning journeys
  • Service 7 - revised to operate every 30 minutes
  • Service 9 and 13 - will now operate a revised service on Mondays to Saturdays
  • All other services are temporarily withdrawn
  • Marwell Zoo service M1 which was due to commence from 4 April 2020, has been postponed until further notice

Hartley Wintney Community Bus

Transport services currently suspended.

Hythe Ferry

  • Monday to Friday normal service to 10.00 then break until 15.40 when normal service will resume until 1900
  • Saturday - hourly service
  • Sunday service – suspended

There will be no ferry services on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

Changes from 11 April:

  • Monday to Friday service from 0610 until 0930 and then from 1540 until 1900.
  • Saturday - hourly service from 0840 until 1800

Lucketts

  • The Whiteley Connect service is suspended.

Morebus

Most timetables are similar to a Sunday service with some extra journeys in the morning and afternoon peaks for key workers to still get to and from work. However, there will be some time difference to a normal Sunday, so please check below.

  • X1/X2/X3 - revised timetable
  • Ringo 1 and 2 – revised timetable
  • X6 – revised Monday to Saturday timetable with Sundays withdrawn
  • 38 - Revised timetable - all journeys rerouted via Heatherlands Estate in both directions with fewer journeys
  • 112 – normal Tuesday and Thursday school holiday timetable
  • 119 – normal Monday to Saturday school holiday timetable
  • 125 – normal Monday, Wednesday and Friday timetable
  • 191/193 – normal Monday to Friday timetable

On Good Friday and Easter Monday, Morebus will be running a Sunday service based on the services above.

National Express

All services temporarily suspended.

Reading Buses

  • Service 2 - Buses will run every 80 minutes Mondays to Saturdays including one morning and one afternoon journey to AWE. On Sundays, buses will run every 1-2 hours
  • Service 7 - All buses from Fleet are suspended. There will be three daytime journeys between Reading and Riseley Mondays-Saturdays only

Salisbury reds

  • Active 8 Salisbury to Andover (joint with Stagecoach) reduced to hourly
  • Service X7/X7R – revised timetable

Stagecoach

Andover & North West Hampshire

  • Route 1 timetable – revised to operate every 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday
  • Routes Activ 8, 3, 4, 6, 10, 11 & 76 – revised to operate hourly, Monday to Saturday. Activ 8 will also be revised on Sundays
  • Routes 9, 12, 13 & P20 – revised to operate approximately every 2 hours, Monday to Saturday, during the daytime but enhanced frequency during the morning and evening
  • Routes 5, 7/7A, 15, 17, 87 - revised timetable to operate certain days of the week only
  • Routes 66, 67/X67 & Andover village buses (C3-C8) - revised timetable
  • Route 85 will be suspended
  • Route 86 timetable - Hatch Warren to Winchester, reduced timetable

Basingstoke & North Hampshire

  • Routes 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 & 8 – revised to operate from approximately 6am until 9pm, every 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday daytimes, with some reductions in the early evening. Earlier journeys will run on routes 1, 2, 6 & 8
  • Route 4 & 22 will not run
  • Route 5 – revised to operate from approximately 6am until 9pm, hourly, Monday to Saturday daytimes and will run the Sunday route, via the Hospital
  • The Link – revised to operate every 2 hours between Basingstoke and Newbury, Monday to Saturday daytimes
  • Route 76 Timetable - revised to operate hourly Monday to Saturday
  • Reduced timetables on all other services
  • Currently Sunday services will remain unchanged until further notice

Blackwater Valley

  • Gold 1 (Aldershot - Old Dean) Every 30 minutes seven days a week. All journeys will run via Frimley Park Hospital grounds. The service will run broadly between the hours of 0500 and 2200. The overnight service will not run until further notice
  • Kite (Aldershot - Guildford) Every 30 minutes on Monday to Saturday. The Sunday & Bank Holiday service will continue to run as normal
  • Yoyo (Farnborough - Prospect Estate) Every 30 minutes on Monday to Saturday. The Sunday & Bank Holiday service will continue to run as normal
  • Route 2 (Farnborough - Camberley) Every hour on Monday to Saturday over the full route. The Sunday & Bank Holiday service will continue to run as normal
  • Route 3 (Aldershot - Yateley) Every hour on Monday to Saturday over the full route. The Sunday & Bank Holiday service will continue to run as normal
  • Route 4 & 5 (Aldershot - Farnham) Every hour combined (every 2 hours on each route) on Monday to Saturday. The Sunday & Bank Holiday service on route 5 will continue to run as normal
  • Route 7 (Aldershot - Elvetham Heath) Every two hours on Monday to Saturday between Aldershot and Elvetham Heath
  • Route 9 timetable (Farnborough - Southwood) Will run three times a day on Monday to Saturday, departing Farnborough at 0900, 1120 & 1340
  • Route 10 (Farnborough - Church Crookham) Reduced to run seven journeys a day in each direction on Monday to Saturday
  • Route 11 (Farnborough - Paddock Hill) Every 2 hours on Monday to Saturday
  • Route 14 (Aldershot - North Town) Every hour on Monday to Saturday. The Sunday & Bank Holiday service will continue to run as normal
  • Route 15 (Aldershot - Tices Meadow) very hour on Monday to Saturday. The Sunday & Bank Holiday service will continue to run as normal
  • Route 16 (Aldershot - Rowledge) Will continue to run broadly to its current timetable on Monday to Saturday
  • Route 17 (Aldershot - Shortheath) Every 2 hours on Monday to Saturday
  • Route 18 (Aldershot - Bordon & Whitehill) Will continue to run broadly every hour on Monday to Saturday. The Sunday & Bank Holiday service will continue to run as normal
  • Route 19 (Aldershot - High Lane Estate) Frequency reduced to every 2 hours on Monday to Saturday
  • Route 41 - (Tongham & Ash - Frimley Park Hospital) Will be reduced to run two journeys in each direction on Mondays & Thursdays only, at 0930 & 1120 from Ash and 1035 & 1225 from Frimley Park Hospital
  • Route 46 - (Guildford - Farnham) Frequency reduced to every 2 hours on Monday to Saturday
  • Route 65 - (Guildford - Alton) Frequency reduced to every 2 hours on Monday to Saturday
  • Route 520 - (Aldershot - Guildford/Woking)

Havant, Portsmouth & Waterlooville

  • Route 20 - Every hour, Monday to Saturday
  • Route 21 - Every hour, Monday to Sunday
  • Route 23 - Every 30 minutes, Monday to Sunday
  • Routes 30 & 31 - Every hour, Monday to Sunday
  • Route 38 - Every 3 hours, Monday to Friday
  • Route 39 - Every hour, Monday to Sunday
  • Route 700 - Every hour, Monday to Sunday, between Portsmouth Havant, Chichester & Bognor Regis
  • Route Hoverbus - Monday to Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Petersfield

  • Route 54 - Normal service, Monday & Wednesdays Only

Winchester & Alton

  • Route 1 - revised to operate from approximately 6am until 9pm, every 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday
  • Route 3 - revised to operate from approximately 6am until 9pm, every 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday, with some reductions in the early evening
  • Route 5 - revised to operate from approximately 6am until 9pm, every 30 minutes, Monday to Saturdays, with some reductions in the early evening
  • Spring - revised to operate from approximately 6am until 9pm, hourly, Monday to Saturday
  • Route 64 - revised to operate from approximately 6am until 10pm, hourly, Monday to Saturday
  • Route 66 - revised to operate from approximately 6am until 9pm, hourly, Monday to Saturday
  • Route 69 - a two hourly service will run through the main part of the day
  • Reduced timetables will be operate on routes 4, 6A, 7, 16, 46, 63, 67, 86, 95/96, E1 & E2
  • Service 85 will be suspended
  • Route 38 - Every 3 hours, Monday to Friday
  • Route 9, 13, 23 - reduced services
  • Currently Sunday services will remain unchanged until further notice

The following level of service will operate over the Easter period:

  • Good Friday - Sunday service
  • Saturday - Saturday service.
  • Easter Sunday - Sunday service.
  • Bank Holiday Monday - Sunday service.

In addition the following services will also run:

  • 54 Chichester - Petersfield
  • 91/92/93 Midhurst - Petersfield

Uni-link

  • U1 – similar to Sunday service
  • U1N withdrawn until further notice
  • U2/U6 – reduced service
  • U9 – one return journey Monday to Friday

West Berkshire Council Transport Services

  • Service 44 is suspended

Wheeldrive

  • Service 94 Buriton to Petersfield is unable to serve the stop at Broadway

Wheelers

  • W1 – suspended. Service ends on 17 April.

Xelabus

  • ALL services suspended

Yellow Buses

  • Service 1A Somerford to New Milton (buses start / continue to Bournemouth) reduced from every 30 mins to six journeys a day
  • Service 21 Christchurch to Bransgore – operating normal timetable at present

Service changes from Friday 10 April:-

Yellow Buses will operate a special timetable over the Easter period with the two services that operate into Hampshire. The 1A Bournemouth / Christchurch to New Milton Tesco and the 21 Christchurch to Bransgore will not operate during this period.

Service changes from Tuesday 14 April:-

  • Service 1A Bournemouth / Christchurch to New Milton Tesco - every 90-minute service Monday to Saturday
  • Service 21 Christchurch to Bransgore - normal Monday to Saturday timetable will operate
