Scheme overview

Hampshire County Council’s ambitious new walking and cycling principles, developed by working with a range of partners, were presented at Hampshire’s first Active Places Summit on 19 October 2020.

A slide pack on the development of the draft principles is available here.

A full video of the plenary session of the Summit can be viewed here.

To inform the Active Places Summit, an Active Places Survey was undertaken in the summer of 2020. The results of the survey can be seen in this short video here.

Evidence and feedback from the summit and the survey will be used to inform the County Council’s Local Transport Plan which will guide future investment and decision making within the County Council in relation to transport.

A report summarising the findings of the Active Places Survey, and the workshops associated with the Summit will be published in due course.
