- Scheme overview
-
The scheme will be carried out in two phases for the improvements to the existing BRT busway route and will provide accessibility benefits. The minor works instruction was approved on 25 May 2022 to carry out these improvements.
- Phase 1 - new route signing for pedestrians and cyclists completed in October 2022. Please see the visuals.
- Phase 2 - uncontrolled crossing points at Forest Way near the BRT bus stops.
- Funding Arrangements
- Funding for the transport capital delivery schemes is separate from the County Council’s revenue budget and savings proposals. In the majority of cases funding comes from external grants and / or Section 106 contribution from developers. This funding usually has conditions that strictly control on how, where and when it can be spent.
