Last update: May 2020
- Latest updates
Hampshire County Council have appointed Rocon Contractors Ltd to carry out the works from Monday 1 June 2020 for approximate duration of 11 weeks. The bus layby will be moved and one lane will be closed in either direction on the dual carriageway while work takes place between 9:30am to 4pm Mon-Friday. These lanes will be coned off to keep traffic away from the working area and ensure safety of the operatives and public.
Rocon will be following national guidelines on social distancing and there is no reason to anticipate contact with members of the public.
- Scheme overview
To improve the safety of pedestrians and cyclists when crossing Hambledon road just south of Milton road roundabout and to complete the missing link within the local cycle network. The crossing point will be in the form of a staggered toucan to accommodate both pedestrian and cycle crossing movements to the Brambles business park, residential area and established pedestrian and cycle local network.
