Wildern Lane to Tamarisk Road Cycle Link Improvement, Hedge End
Implement remedial measures to address localised flooding on the shared cycle and pedestrian path
Last update: October 2024
- Scheme Overview
-
Hampshire County Council has appointed Rocon Contractors Ltd to implement remedial measures to address localised flooding on the shared cycle and pedestrian path between Tamarisk Road and Wildern Lane. This work aims to make the path safer and more usable for everyone.
Works on the shared path are expected to start on Monday 28 October 2024, and this path between Tamarisk Road and Wildern Lane will be closed for five days. Work on the footway near Wildern Lane will commence on Monday 4 November under restricted working hours from 9:30am to 4pm using temporary traffic signals to minimise disruption to the public. This element of work will take approximately three days. - Funding Arrangements
- Funding for the transport capital delivery schemes is separate from the County Council’s revenue budget and savings proposals. In the majority of cases funding comes from external grants and / or Section 106 contribution from developers. This funding usually has conditions that strictly control on how, where and when it can be spent.
