Vehicle registration

At Household Waste Recycling Centres

You need to let us know the registration numbers of any vehicles you use to visit our Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs). Barriers at the entrances of our HWRCs will then be able to let you in.

If you change your car, you'll need to use this form to let us know too.

We use this data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, (GDPR) Article 6, 1. (e), that is, your information is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.

We share the registration number you provide with Veolia, who keeps this information on their ANPR data base, so that when your vehicle approaches the HWRC it is recognised as a registered vehicle and free entry is granted.

We will only keep the information for as long as it is needed for you to access a HWRC, that is until you are no longer eligible for free access, you tell us to remove your details, or 3 years after your last use of a HWRC.
