Statement of Accounts and Budget Book

Hampshire County Council’s accounts are one of the means by which the Council demonstrates its stewardship of public money. The accounts show the sources of income and how this has been used to provide services to the Hampshire community.

Usually, the draft Statement of Accounts is published by 31 May following the end of each financial year. The accounts are then audited, with the audited Statement of Accounts published by 31 July.

Due to the disruption caused by coronavirus, local authority draft accounts for 2019/20 were not required to be published until 31 August 2020. However, the Council published its draft accounts during June. The audit of the accounts is still ongoing – please see the notice in the section below for further details about this.

The most recent Statement of Accounts and those for the past few years can be found below.

The budget book contains the detailed 2020/21 revenue budget and 2020/21 to 2022/23 capital programme for Hampshire County Council.
