The proposal to build a new 2 form entry primary school

This consultation ran from Monday 17 June to Monday 15 July 2024.

About the consultation

Hampshire County Council consulted on the proposal to build a new 420 place primary school.

The proposed new primary school is planned to open in September 2027 (originally 2026 but delayed due to slower than predicted build out rates on the development) and would admit up to 30 places for Year R (age 4+) and will grow over time to a total of 60 pupils per year group, an overall total of 420 pupils. The provision of a new 420 place primary school will cater for the expected pupil demand from the new housing being built at Hartland Village, Fleet.

Decision

The final decision was made on 21 January 2026
