Petition - Changes to crossings on A27 Southampton Road

Thank you for sending in the petition regarding changes to crossings on A27 Southampton Road outside Titchfield Primary School.

Our survey work planned following the investigation of the tragic fatal accident of your son, Ben, has been postponed because of the pandemic with lockdowns and social distancing reducing vehicle and pedestrian travel patterns.

Our Safer Roads Team anticipate being able to carry out this study in the summer, ahead of the school summer holidays, subject to the implementation of the Government’s Covid roadmap and easing of restrictions. The survey data is key to informing decisions relating to changes in speed limits and crossings. An officer from the Safer Roads Team will keep you advised on when the surveys will be conducted and also advise you on the outcome of these at the appropriate times.
