Privacy Notice

The Hampshire Outdoors Service are collecting personal and special category data to provide access to our Bikeability training courses. In order to do this Hampshire County Council will ask that you complete a form in which you will need to relevant personal and special category data about the participant.

We collect and use this information ensuring that we comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UKGDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 20 18)requirements for processing through Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR where the processing is necessary in support of our and your legitimate interests. The processing of the participant’s special category data is undertaken under Article 9(2)(g) of the UK GDPR where processing is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest. In support of this lawful basis under Schedule 1 of the DPA 2018 we are required to outline a substantial public interest condition which in this case is condition 16 support for individuals with a particular disability or medical condition.

All information collected from the forms will be held within the County Council’s Document Management Systems (DMS) and will be kept in line with our retention schedule and then deleted as appropriate. Any third party processors that hold County Council data are required to comply with our instructions and may only process personal data outside of the UK in accordance with the UK GDPR.

Under data protection legislation, you have the right to:

  • request access to your records;
  • prevent processing for the purpose of direct marketing;
  • object to decisions being taken by solely automated means; § in certain circumstances, have inaccurate personal data rectified, blocked, erased or destroyed; and
  • claim compensation for damages caused by a breach of the Data Protection regulations.
