Privacy notice for the chaperone for a child in entertainment forms
The Child Employment and Children in Entertainment team are collecting personal data as part of your application to become a chaperone for children working in the sector and to assess your suitability for the role. In order to do this Hampshire County Council will ask that you complete a form in which you will need to provide your name, contact details, address, employment information, details regarding any unspent criminal convictions and any relevant training you have undertaken. You will also be required to provide identification documents so we can verify your identity and ratify your checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
We collect and use the information ensuring that we comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 requirements for processing through Article 6(1)(e) of the UK GDPR where processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller. This public task is supported by Regulation 15 of The Children (Performance and Activities) (England) Regulations 2014.
Any processing of special category data will be undertaken in accordance with Schedule 1, part 2, paragraph of the Data Protection Act 2018 where processing is necessary for statutory and government purposes.
All information collected from the forms will be held within the County Council’s Document Management Systems and will be kept in line with our retention schedule and then deleted as appropriate.
