Privacy Notice

Hampshire County Council’s Corporate Communications team collects information about you, especially photos and videos, in order to provide newsletters, media releases, web and social media content that helps residents to understand and access County Council services.

We will use photos and videos to make our materials more engaging for customers, and sometimes to help explain information. We will store your contact details securely as evidence of your consent.

The legal basis for our use of this information is consent. Your consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Sometimes when seeking your consent, we ask that this includes consent for another organisation, for example another public service publicising the same information. Unless we have specifically requested this, your data will not be shared outside Hampshire County Council.

We will keep your images and contact information for three years, unless we have specifically agreed a different timescale with you.

The above information is the specific privacy notice for this service. For more information about your rights in relation to your personal data, see the County Council’s general privacy notice.

You have some legal rights in respect of the personal information we collect from you. See our Data Protection page for further details.

You can contact the County Council’s Data Protection Officer by email [email protected].

If you have a concern about the way we are collecting or using your personal data, you should raise your concern with us in the first instance or directly to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
