Privacy Notice

Hampshire County Council (the County Council) collects personal information about you in order to carry out our supported composting scheme.

The personal information being collected is your contact details i.e. your name, address and email address.

The County Council will use your contact details to deliver your compost bin and to monitor the number of compost bins delivered across district councils.

The legal basis for the County Council’s use of your contact details is that it is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.

The County Council will share your name and address with Straight Ltd so that they can deliver your compost bin. The County Council will keep your contact details stored securely and will keep your email address for two years, and delivery address for six months (subject to review).

We will process your personal data in order to fulfil your order.

We process this data on the basis that it is necessary in order for us to perform our obligations under our contract with you to fulfil your order.

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
