Hampshire County Council collects information about you in order to provide Hampshire residents with discounted prices on reusable nappies, sanitary and hygiene products via online codes, helping them to overcome potential cost barriers and reducing disposable absorbent hygiene products waste in Hampshire.
We will use the information to verify Hampshire residency, monitor the success of the initiative and contact residents who choose to opt in with waste prevention news and advice.
Your address is used to validate your postcode and only your postcode will be stored. The legal basis for our use of this information is that it is necessary in order to meet a legal obligation. This is because the collection of postcode data is necessary for compliance with (The Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011: Section 12. Duty in relation to the waste hierarchy) and processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.
We will not share your personal information with any third-party processors or bodies outside of Hampshire County Council.
We will keep your personal information for no more than 3 years.
Anonymised postcode data (first four digits only) may be retained for no more than 3 years.
