New Milton-based DPR Home Improvements is experiencing a new wave of growth and confidence thanks to expert support from the Hampshire Growth Hub and Senior Growth Champion Roya Croudace.
DPR Home Improvements, a trusted name in windows, doors and conservatories, recently turned to the Hampshire Growth Hub for guidance on navigating the challenges of running a small business. The result? A transformative experience that’s helping the company sharpen its focus and build for the future.
“For Office Manager Jenni White – whose husband Richard is also a director – the experience marked a turning point for DPR Home Improvements.”
“Reaching out to the Hampshire Growth Hub has been such a blessing for us,” said Jenni. “It's reassuring to know there is so much help and support available to SMEs.”
Working closely with Roya Croudace, DPR received tailored advice and practical tools to improve business planning and time management. One of the key breakthroughs came through the introduction of the Business Model Canvas – a strategic tool that helped the team visualise and prioritise their operations more effectively.
“Roya has helped me to understand how to categorise our priorities when managing our time,” Jenni explained.
“She introduced me to the Business Model Canvas and signposted me to the Help to Grow: Management programme – a fully funded course I’m currently halfway through at the University of Portsmouth.”
Backed by the UK Government, the Help to Grow: Management programme is a 12-week course offering leadership training and mentoring to small business leaders. For DPR, it’s proving to be a valuable resource for strengthening management skills and long-term planning.
With expert guidance and access to resources, DPR Home Improvements is now better equipped to grow sustainably and continue delivering quality service to its customers.
