Hampshire County Council are able to contribute towards the costs of purchase and installation of travel information display screen equipment for eligible Community Transport operators. The project aims to improve engagement with public transport by integrating Community Transport services into the local bus network. The inclusion of travel information display screens will improve awareness of these services by making them more visible to existing and potential passengers. This, along with an improved passenger experience, aims to increase overall patronage.
The Travel Information Display Screen Equipment Grant stream helps Community Transport operators, and organisations operating community transport schemes on a section 22 licence, to purchase display screen equipment for use on eligible vehicles.
- About the Display Screens

The travel information display screen equipment is available to purchase and install from Hampshire County Council’s suggested supplier and consists of front LED destination display, drivers console.
- Who can apply

- Community Transport Operator that holds contracts with Hampshire County Council OR
- Community organisation operating a transport service on a section 22 licence in Hampshire
- Any organisation wishing to apply must use Display Screen Equipment on eligible vehicles e.g. vehicles that are road worthy and are capable of operating a local transport service for the foreseeable future.
- How much can I apply for

You can apply for up to £1,680 per display screen and installation per vehicle.
Please be aware that there will be a maximum amount that Hampshire County Council can award through this grant scheme.
- When and how to apply

To apply for this grant stream operators will have to complete a grant application form, including purchase and installation quotes, and a vehicle specification document.
